GARD is a non-profit organization. Members typically incur out-of-pocket expenses exceeding $2,500 a year for mileage, personal equipment (survival gear for handler and K-9 and training gear) and of course veterinary bills. GARD uses your donations to purchase radios, Global Positioning System (GPS) navigation equipment, topographical maps, send aspiring members to training seminars and other major expenses to field operational K-9 handler teams.
